That means ‘different cultures, different races, different religions, different lifestyles, different ideologies or political beliefs are not ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’ or ‘less than’, just different. Valuing diversity recognizes differences between people and acknowledges that these differences are a valued asset. Each form of diversity is different and requires its own management strategy to effectively integrate people. If we’re all the same, then SOME OF US NOT NECESSARY.
Workplace diversity is important within the organization as well as outside. DEROTAM‘s goal in developing DaaS is to provide tools, Forums, chat-rooms, consulting and education as demographics shift and our own personal environment becomes increasingly diverse. Also, as global markets emerge, workplace diversity becomes more important to the organizations’ success and profitability. All individuals should feel that they can bring their authentic self to the workplace. Leaders should believe that they can unlock the energy of individuals and / or their team to foster success.
